CALL OF PAPERS
As is well known, cultural and social sustainability is concerned with the maintenance of cultural/societal beliefs, cultural practices, heritage preservation, culture/society as an entity in its own right, and the question of whether any culture and therefore society will exist in the future. Culture is defined not only as a set of beliefs, morals, ethics, methods, institutions and human knowledge that depends on the transmission of these characteristics to younger generations but also as a way of life. Cultural sustainability, which can also be defined as the ability to preserve or enhance values and attitudes in the face of external forces, and research and scientific ideas on culture and society as both enablers and drivers of the economic, social and environmental dimensions of development can be of vital importance. In this context, papers will be accepted from the following disciplines to the International Conference of Social and Cultural Sustainability, the first of which will be held online on July 6 – 7, 2023. Abstracts are kindly requested to be sent to ICSCS@auc.edu.tr.
