An International Workshop is Being Held With the Collabration of AUC & AURAC
The American University of Cyprus (KAU) and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah are organizing the ‘Rehabilitated Land-Reclaimed Land’ International workshop supported by the International Academic Association on Planning, Law, and Property Rights (PLPR International Academic Association on Planning, Law, and Property Rights) on 16-18 January 2025. Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci expressed his pleasure to see that the efforts they have been making since the summer semester in line with the goals of institutional cooperation and joint scientific production in the international context have yielded positive results, and emphasized that the university’s efforts abroad will continue in 2025. Stating that the academician and student-oriented studies carried out within the framework of KAU’s internationalization vision and mission have added value beyond the borders as well as national education, Keçeci underlined that the participation of the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Architecture in the PLPR & Reclaimed Land International Workshop – Students Competition under the title “In Between” is an important indicator reflecting the institutional image. KAU academic Prof. Dr. Balkız Yapıcıoğlu, who is a member of the organizing committee of the ‘Rehabilitated Land-Reclaimed Land’ workshop to be held jointly between the two universities, emphasized the need for strategic planning and development processes to support adaptation and mitigation processes for rehabilitated lands.
