AUC’s Strong Academic Drive in Management Information Systems and Computer Technologies

The American University of Cyprus (AUC) has expanded its technology-oriented education vision and included Management Information Systems, Computer Programming and Information Systems Master’s programs in its academic structure. These programs aim to train qualified human resources that respond to today’s digital transformation needs.

American University of Cyprus Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci announced that the Management Information Systems (MIS) undergraduate program provides students with strategic competencies at the intersection of information technologies and business management and said, “While the program focuses on areas such as system analysis, data management and technology-based decision support systems, it trains its graduates to manage IT projects in the business world, and graduates can work in the public and private sectors in positions such as business analyst, data analyst, IT project manager, ERP specialist.”

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlkan stated that the Computer Programming and Information Technologies associate degree program is structured to provide technical skills in areas such as software development, web applications and computer networks. Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlkan emphasized that thanks to the applied courses supported by theoretical knowledge, students are trained to make a quick transition to the sector and thanks to the two-year program, graduates are offered employment opportunities in software companies, IT units and technical support areas.

KAU’s English-medium Information Systems Master’s program (with and without thesis) aims to provide expertise in areas such as computer engineering, information systems and network technologies. The program offers a comprehensive education for both new graduates and professionals working in the sector, covering research, project management and advanced technology applications.
