A Special Education Initiative from AUC for the TRNC Audience

Cyprus American University (AUC) is adding a new dimension to its educational activities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for the 2025-2026 academic year.According to information provided by the AUCA Communications and Press Coordination Office, in line with AUCA’s new vision of offering specialized education models for all ages and groups, plans have been made for suitable class hours for civil servants, scholarship opportunities for young people, and special education options for housewives.
Cyprus American University (AUC) Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci emphasized the university’s new vision of “providing educational opportunities for all ages and professions.”
Stating that they aim to become one of the most preferred universities in the TRNC, Prof. Dr. Keçeci said that with the strategy they have prepared, they aim to increase the university’s recognition both in the TRNC and abroad, while also steadily increasing enrollment rates to make AUC the “first choice for people of all ages.”
Emphasizing that education is a lifelong right, Keçeci said:
“For us, every individual’s right to education is very valuable. We offer a university environment where everyone, from adults over the age of 30 to high school graduates, from working civil servants to housewives, can realize their dreams. We create content tailored to our target audience on social media and strengthen this process through local press coverage. Our goal is to make AUC an accessible and preferred university for everyone.”
Referring to promotional activities, Prof. Dr. Keçeci stated that AUC has adopted a strong communication model through digital campaigns, media partnerships, and local press support. he explained that the university aims to serve a wide audience thanks to its safe, modern, and internationally standard educational environment, as well as its social living areas and guesthouse facilities located in its historic campus in Surlariçi and its modern infrastructure in Alayköy.
