AUC Academicians attended the E&SS 2025 conference.

American University of Cyprus (AUC) Faculty of Business and Economics academicians successfully represented the university at the international level by participating in the 13th International Conference on Economics and Social Sciences (E&SS 2025) hosted by Arkin University of Creative Arts and Design (ARUCAD) in Kyrenia between June 30 and July 2, 2025.

During the three-day conference, Asst. Prof. Dr. Umar Shuaibu Aliyu and Dr. Hepşen Şen from KAU Faculty of Business and Economics made significant contributions within the framework of interdisciplinary academic interaction and scientific knowledge sharing. Assist. Prof. Dr. Umar Shuaibu Aliyu’s paper titled “Macroeconomic Indicators as Drivers for Food Security Sustainability: A Nexus of the Recent Insights and Approaches for Nigeria” was accepted by the scientific committee of the conference.

Prof. Dr. Hepşen Şen, who attended the conference, stated that coming together with academics from different countries was an important experience for them and said, “Taking part in this interdisciplinary environment has broadened our academic perspective. We were proud to represent our university on such a platform.”

Assist. Prof. Dr. Umar Shuaibu Aliyu emphasized that the conference was valuable in terms of following scientific developments and exploring new cooperation opportunities and said, “The event hosted by ARUCAD was very rich in terms of academic interaction.”

Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlkan, Dean of KAU Faculty of Business and Economics, said: “The determination of our esteemed academics working within our faculty in knowledge production and their open stance to scientific interaction is a great source of inspiration for us. Taking part in such platforms strengthens our academic knowledge and reinforces the vision of our university.

KAU Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci congratulated the academicians who attended the conference and said, “The greatest strength of our university is its academic staff who are dedicated to scientific production and open to sharing knowledge on global platforms.
