AUC Took Part in the USARGames 2025 Press Conference
UNIVERSITY SEARCH AND RESCUE GAMES (USARGames 2025) ARE TAKING PLACE
Under the coordination of the Presidency of the Civil Defense Organization; “Universities Search and Rescue Games (USARGames 2025) will be held between 24-28 April 2025 in Nicosia, Nicosia at the Metehan Training and Exercise Area of the Presidency of the Civil Defense Organization with the participation of young people registered in the search and rescue clubs of the member universities of the International Universities Search and Rescue Council (IUSARC). The opening will be held between 10.30-12.00 hours.
In the games to be held with the participation of search and rescue club members of 12 universities operating in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and 3 universities from the Republic of Turkey; in search and emergency situations, a completely voluntary, amateur work and a professional approach will be followed.
It is aimed to reach the people affected by disasters and emergencies that may occur within the framework of the scenario as soon as possible, to create the most appropriate conditions necessary for assistance, to carry out correct search and rescue activities, to minimize the loss of life by providing safe environmental conditions after providing basic first aid to the injured, and to raise awareness on search and rescue issues.
From the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus; Eastern Mediterranean University, Akdeniz Karpaz University, Girne American University, Girne American University, International Cyprus University, Near East University, Cyprus Aydın University, Atatürk Teachers Academy, Lefke European University, Arkın Creative Arts and Design University, American University of Cyprus, Istanbul Technical University, Girne University, Maltepe University, Marmara University, Kahramanmaraş İstiklal University from the Republic of Turkey will participate in the games.
The games will end with the closing and award ceremony to be held on Monday, April 28, 2025, between 19:00-22:00 on Monday, April 28, 2025, between 19:00-22:00 at the Camellia of the Civil Defense Organization after the execution of the competitions to be held for three days.
