The 2025 Summer Term Certificate Ceremony was held at the AUC Continuing Education Center

The 2025 Summer English Language Training and Basic Fashion Design Courses organized by the Cyprus American University Continuing Education Center (KAÜSEM) have successfully come to an end. A certificate ceremony for the trainees who completed their training was held at 2:00 p.m. on August 7, 2025, at the AUC Rectorate Amphitheater.
The opening speech of the ceremony was delivered by Dr. Emel Yılmaz, President of KAÜSEM. Dr. Yılmaz expressed her satisfaction with the high level of interest shown in the courses conducted throughout the summer semester and congratulated all participants on their achievements.
Next to speak was Neşe Sarı, Lecturer and Instructor of the Basic Fashion Design Course, who highlighted the creativity and hard work shown by the course participants throughout the course.
During the ceremony, AUC Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca gave a speech on the significance of the day, highlighting KAÜSEM’s community-focused vision and expressing his delight at the participation of individuals from different age and professional groups in the courses. Following the opening speeches, certificates were presented to the participants. First, certificates were awarded to participants who completed the Basic Fashion Course, followed by those who successfully completed the A1 English program. Finally, certificates were presented to participants who completed the A2-level English education program, accompanied by their instructors.
The certificate ceremony was attended by AUC Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca, KAÜSEM President Dr. Emel Yılmaz, Health Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Akalın, Vocational School Director Lecturer Merve Akgül, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlkan, Director of the English Preparatory School Lecturer Gözde Kaba, Basic Fashion Design Instructor Lecturer Neşe Sarı, English Instructor Lecturer Rümeysa İneci, AUC faculty members, course participants, and many guests.
As part of the Basic Fashion Design Course led by Lecturer Neşe Sarı, the participants showcased the original designs they had prepared throughout August at the ceremony. Each participant received great praise from the guests for their outfits, which reflected their own style by incorporating different themes.
