Visit from AUC to Odlar Yurdu University: Cooperation Strengtened in Azerbaijan

Following the academic cooperation protocol signed last month in Baku between Cyprus American University (AUC) and Odlar Yurdu University, meetings planned to ensure the continuity of the work were held. AUC Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca visited Prof. Dr. Fahreddin Memmedov, Vice Rector for Research and Quality Assurance at Odlar Yurdu University in Azerbaijan, at his office.

In a statement issued by the AUC Communication and Press Coordination Office, it was reported that the meeting held in Baku covered topics such as student and academic exchange programs, joint research projects, dual degree opportunities, summer school plans, and the implementation of certificate programs and cultural events planned to be jointly carried out between the two universities.

The statement emphasized that the visit was also a courtesy meeting, strengthening the warm relations between the two universities and laying a positive foundation for future joint projects.

AUC Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca made the following statements in his assessment of the visit:

Following the protocol signed in September by our Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci and Odlar Yurdu Board of Trustees Chairman Prof. Dr. Samir Valiyev, this meeting we held in Baku enabled us to advance our cooperation with more concrete steps. We have made a strong start to the academic and cultural activities we plan to carry out with Odlar Yurdu University. We believe this cooperation will make significant contributions to both universities.”

The visit is expected to contribute to the implementation of new projects between the two institutions and to further strengthen the existing cooperation process.
