Young Designers Brought Their Inspirations to the Runway at the AUC FashionShow

The students of the Fashion and Textile Design Associate Degree Program of the American University of Cyprus (KAU) fascinated the audience by exhibiting the designs they prepared under the supervision of Lecturer Neşe Sarı at the “Fashion Show”.

In the fashion show that brought together the young talents of the fashion world, each student’s unique perspective and creative design language drew attention. Wide sources of inspiration ranging from sustainability to mythology, from the dynamism of urban life to simplicity added depth to the collections.

KAU Fashion Design student Thaddeus Ehijie Ibadin stood out with his collection inspired by nature, urban aesthetics, art and environmental awareness. He presented a strong fashion narrative with pieces prepared with sustainable materials, tailoring that pays attention to details and a confident sense of style.

2021 Miss Northern Cyprus Runner-up and Fashion Design student Fatma Uzunoğluları drew attention with her concept that brings the power of ancient goddesses to the present day. Her collection with the theme of “woman living today with the spirit of the goddess” brought together mythological elements and modern lines.

Gülden Demet Güneş took the stage with her collection for women in professional life. Designs combining comfort, aesthetics and elegance reflected the strong and contemporary style of the working woman.

Rozhin Asadi, on the other hand, presented a collection emphasizing female power by highlighting the themes of simplicity and elegance. The pieces created with minimalist lines elegantly expressed inner strength and aesthetic stance.

KAU’s impressive fashion show turned out to be not only an aesthetic feast but also a powerful platform reflecting the intellectual depths and creative worlds of young designers.
