AUC and Odlar Yurdu University Signed an Academic Cooperation Protocol

A protocol was signed between Cyprus American University (AUC) and Odlar Yurdu University, one of Azerbaijan’s long-established higher education institutions founded in 1995, which offers over 30 undergraduate and graduate programs and educates thousands of students, with the aim of developing academic and cultural cooperation.

According to information provided by the KAÜ Communication and Press Coordination Office, the protocol signed at the ceremony held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, envisages student and academic exchange programs, as well as summer schools and dual degree programs, joint research, scientific publications, conferences, symposiums, and cultural events.

The ceremony, hosted by Odlar Yurdu University and attended by KAÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci and Odlar Yurdu University Board of Trustees Chairman and Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Samir Valiyev. The ceremony was attended by KAÜ Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca, Vice Rector for Quality Assurance and International Relations Prof. Dr. Fahreddin Memmedov, Vice Rector for Learning and Educational Technologies Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gabil Gafarov, and Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fuzuli Hasanov.

KAÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci stated in his announcement;

“This step we have taken in line with our vision for the new period of 2025-2026 is an important milestone in achieving our internationalization goal. While strengthening academic relations between the two countries, we will offer new opportunities to our academics and students. Joint projects in the fields of education, culture, and arts will create a lasting and strong bond between our universities. We would also like to express our gratitude to Prof. Dr. Samir Valiyev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Odlar Yurdu University, for welcoming us with sincerity and affection.”

Odlar Yurdu University Acting Rector and Board of Trustees Chairman Prof. Dr. Samir Valiyev stated the following:

“This protocol we have signed with KAÜ will increase knowledge sharing through student and academic exchange programs. This collaboration, which will greatly benefit both universities, will help us achieve a stronger academic position internationally and open the door to more joint projects in the future.”
