Interior Architecture and Environmental Design Department (AED) Nicosia Old Town Boutique Hotel Study Trip

Observation Trip by the Students of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, American University of Cyprus

The students of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, American University of Cyprus (AUC) added a new one to the observation trips organized within the scope of their studio courses. Students working on the subject of “Boutique Hotel Design” visited important boutique hotels such as Eagle Eye Boutique Hotel, Valide Hanım Konak and Djumba Hotel in Nicosia Walled City. During the visits, students chatted with hotel owners and designers and had the opportunity to observe the designs of the hotels on site.

Course instructors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Buğu Şah and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Buğu Şah and Assoc. Prof. Ediz Oraç emphasized that such trips are very effective in increasing the motivation of the students, while the students expressed their satisfaction with the importance given by their faculties to such trips and the experiences they bring to them.
