Program Objective

The Ceramics, Glass, and Tile Design Program is an educational initiative aimed at equipping students with the essential skills in the fields of ceramics, glass, and tile art. The program aspires to cultivate artists and designers capable of integrating contemporary aesthetics and technical excellence by utilizing both traditional and modern techniques.

Our mission is to provide students with a solid foundation and in-depth understanding in various fields of art. The department focuses on blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design and technology, while fostering creative thinking, aesthetic awareness, and professional competence.

Program Description

The Ceramics, Glass, and Tile Design Program offers a two-year associate degree covering a broad range of subjects in these three artistic disciplines. In addition to core artistic principles, material knowledge, manual skills, and technical expertise, the curriculum also includes comprehensive education in art history and design to support students’ creative development.

Admission Requirements

Students who are citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and have completed their high school education in the TRNC may apply for admission either by participating in the university’s annual scholarship examination or by registering during the officially announced enrollment periods each year.

Graduation Requirements

To graduate from the Ceramics, Glass, and Tile Design Associate Degree Program, students are required to complete the necessary course credits, fulfill a 20-day internship, and achieve a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale over the two-year study period.

Employment Opportunities

Graduates of the Ceramics, Glass, and Tile Design Program may pursue career opportunities in a wide range of fields including ceramic workshops, glass studios, tile manufacturing, museums, design studios, art galleries, or as independent artists.
