AUC Rector Keçeci congratulated KAU students on their success.

American University of Cyprus Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci received the students and Dr. Emel Yılmaz, who participated in the “Charity Bazaar for Gönyeli Animal Shelter” project led by Dr. Emel Yılmaz within the scope of the Communication Skills course, in his office and presented the certificates of appreciation. Expressing his satisfaction with the interaction of the students with local administrations, Rector Keçeci said, “The contributions made to the shelter and the social sensitivity shown in this process represented our university in the best way. We are proud of this achievement.”
Rector Keçeci stated that it is pleasing to see that the “Communication Skills” course is not limited to the classroom environment but supported by field applications and said, “I sincerely congratulate Dr. Emel Yılmaz and our students. Such social responsibility projects contribute greatly to the professional and human development of our students. As a university, we are ready to provide all kinds of support.”
KAU Rector Keçeci also said, “It is very valuable for local governments to support such projects. Because such collaborations create lasting effects that touch not only the students but also the society. Thanks to the visionary approach of the municipalities, our students had the experience of being a real social stakeholder. We see this project not only as an aid activity, but also as a learning process, an example of mutual interaction and solidarity.”
