AUC Students Lent Their Voices to Books.

The “Book Reading Activity” developed within the scope of the Communication Skills course with the joint work of the American University of Cyprus (AUC) Faculty of Fine Arts and Faculty of Education academicians attracted great interest from the students.

In connection with the Communication Skills course conducted by Dr. Emel Yılmaz, Lecturer at the Department of Visual Communication Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology, Uzm. Clinical-Forensic Psk. Ebru Çorbacı, Acting Head of the Department of Psychology, and Department of Psychology Lecturer Assist. Clinical Psk. Merve Karafistan, lecturer of the Department of Psychology, jointly organized the “KAU Book Reading Event” at Alayköy Campus. Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Visual Communication Design Lecturer Dr. Emel Yılmaz underlined that they attach importance to the projects created in line with the application-oriented education policies in which students will discover their personal talents, and stated that they strive to carry out activities that will raise awareness in social and social areas that aim to develop interpersonal communication skills within the scope of the Communication Skills Course. Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology, Spc. Clinical-Forensic Psk. Ebru Çorbacı emphasized that they organized a “Book Reading Activity” in order to make students love reading books, to see the level of understanding of the book they read and to develop their sense of confidence. Department of Psychology Lecturer Uzm. Clinical Psk. Merve Karafistan underlined that they organized the event in order to raise awareness of KAU students about reading books and said that they strive to make reading a culture of life for future generations by organizing book reading activities in connection with the courses.
