AUC Visit to the Zeytin Ağacı Eğitim ve Yardımlaşma Association
AUC Psychology Department students and academicians visited ZAYDER
The Department of Psychology of the Faculty of Education of the American University of Cyprus (AUC) continues to put forward exemplary projects together with its students and academicians by strengthening its practice-oriented courses.
Deputy Head of AUC Department of Psychology Spc. Clinical Forensic Psk. Ebru Çorbacı, Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology and Department of Psychology Lecturer Assist. Clinical Psk. Merve Karafistan and Psychology Department students visited the Olive Tree Education and Assistance Association (ZAYDER), headquartered in Nicosia. According to the statement made by AUC Corporate Communication and Press Coordination Unit, within the scope of the visit, which was organized in cooperation with AUC Department of Psychology and ZAYDER, it was reported that an activity was carried out in line with the aim of bringing academic books that will contribute to the psychology literature to the psychology department in the American University of Cyprus Library and the works in the association were evaluated together with the faculty members.
Acting Head of the Department of Psychology at KAU, Uzm. Clinical-Forensic Psk. Ebru Çorbacı gave information about the content of the visit and stated that as the Department of Psychology, they visited ZAYDER in order to bring together theoretical knowledge with practices that will benefit the society and that the main goal of the event was to add new books in the field of psychology in the library of the American University of Cyprus by providing books, magazines and other materials that can be useful in the field of psychology within the association.
Uzm. Clinical Forensic Psk. Ebru Çorbacı underlined that they organized a useful event that broadened the horizons of KAU students and allowed them to access the basic literature in their fields and
“Within the framework of the visit, our psychology department students were able to get to know the functioning of an institution that acts with the awareness of community service and the association management provided support for the selected books to be brought to our university.”
American University of Cyprus (AUC) Faculty of Education Dean Assoc.
