Cooperation Protocol Between Cyprus American and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir Universities

Academic Cooperation Protocol Signed Between American University of Cyprus and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University

A protocol was signed between the American University of Cyprus (KAU) and Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University (NÖHÜ) in order to strengthen academic and cultural cooperation. The signed protocol envisages the two universities to carry out joint projects in the field of education and research. Within the scope of the agreement, joint research, scientific publications, conferences, symposiums and cultural events will be organized as well as student and academic exchange programs.

Academic Cooperation Strengthens
NÖHÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu and the accompanying delegation attended the protocol ceremony hosted by the American University of Cyprus. At the ceremony, NÖHÜ Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Alp Özgür Akdemir, NÖHÜ Chief of Staff Uğur Akyapı, Niğde Anadolu Haber Newspaper Reporter Çağlar Tuncer, KAU Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci, KAU Secretary General Assoc. Emel Yılmaz, KAU Faculty of Engineering Dean Prof. Dr. Mustafa İlkan, KAU Institute of Social Sciences Director Prof. Dr. Balkız Yapıcıoğlu, KAU Vocational School of Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Turgay Akalın and KAU Vocational School Director Lecturer Merve Akgül also took part.

Rectors Emphasize Cooperation
KAU Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci emphasized the importance of the protocol,

“This cooperation will strengthen our international academic relations and offer new opportunities to our students and academics. Joint studies to be carried out in the fields of education, culture and art will create a strong bond between the two institutions.”

NÖHÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Uslu expressed his satisfaction with the academic cooperation with KAU,

“We will increase knowledge sharing through student and academic exchange programs. I wish that this protocol, which will make a great contribution to both universities, will be beneficial.
