KAÜSEM Basic Fashion Design Course Certificate Ceremony Was Held.

The 2025–2026 Fall Semester Basic Fashion Design Course organized by the Cyprus American University Continuing Education Center (KAÜSEM) has been successfully completed. A certificate ceremony for the trainees who successfully completed the training process was held on Thursday, January 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the AUC Rectorate Amphitheater.
The ceremony was attended by AUC Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci, AUC Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca, KAÜSEM President Dr. Emel Yılmaz, Vocational School Director Lecturer Merve Akgül, Basic Fashion Design Course Instructor Lecturer Neşe Sarı, AUC academics, and course participants. KAÜSEM President Dr. Emel Yılmaz, who delivered the opening speech at the ceremony, stated that the programs conducted within the Continuous Education Center aim to support individuals’ professional development as well as their creativity and self-expression skills. Emphasizing that this educational environment, which brings together participants from different age and professional groups, reflects KAÜSEM’s community-oriented and inclusive approach, Yılmaz congratulated the course participants for their dedication and success.
Basic Fashion Design Course Instructor Lecturer Neşe Sarı stated that the course process is not only an education where participants acquire technical knowledge, but also provides a space for personal expression. Sarı said that each design contains strong themes and original stories, and that the course participants showed significant development throughout the process. Speaking at the ceremony about the meaning and importance of the day, AUC Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci stated that Cyprus American University attaches great importance to educational activities that strengthen university-community interaction. Keçeci said that the programs run through the Continuing Education Center contribute to the spread of a culture of lifelong learning and emphasized that the university’s doors are always open to the community.
Following the opening speeches, certificates were presented to the participants who successfully completed the Basic Fashion Design Course. The designs developed around different themes attracted significant interest and appreciation from the guests.
