The Broadcasting Supreme Board visited AUC

Chairman of the Supreme Board of Broadcasting (YYK) Attorney Feyzi Hansel and YYK Board Member Attorney Hüseyin Gürlek visited the Rector of the American University of Cyprus (KAU) Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci in his office.
KAU Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci, Lawyer Feyzi Hansel, Chairman of YYK, Lawyer Hüseyin Gürlek, Board Member of YYK, and Dr. Emel Yılmaz, External Relations Representative and Communication and Press Coordinator were also present at the meeting held on Friday at 14.00 at Alayköy Campus.
Within the scope of the visit, within the framework of inter-institutional cooperation, KAU’s recent media panel and its successful work in the field of communication and press were evaluated.
YYK Board Member Hüseyin Gürlek stated during the visit that they appreciate the sensitive and meaningful projects carried out by the university in the field of media and communication, and that the university’s work with experienced communicators who have worked in the field of media creates an important awareness.
Feyzi Hansel, Chairman of the Executive Board, stated that KAU’s adoption of a journalism approach based on ethical values in its media policies is pleasing. Hansel stated that this approach coincides with the understanding of modern and responsible broadcasting and emphasized the importance of cooperation between institutions.
Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci expressed his pleasure to host the YYK delegation and thanked them for their support. Stating that working with an experienced staff at KAU adds great value to the university, Keçeci said that they closely follow the developments in the field of communication and media.

KAU Communication and Press Coordinator Dr. Emel Yılmaz stated that she has been actively involved in the media sector for many years and that as a university, they strive to carry out integrated projects with media organizations across the country. Yılmaz emphasized that they closely follow current developments and constantly update their media policies by developing innovative models.
