Protocol signing ceremony in Baku

A protocol signing ceremony was held in Baku between the American University of Cyprus (AUC) and Odlar Yurdu University. Following the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Samir Valiyev, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Acting Rector of Odlar Yurdu University, presented AUC Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci with a special hand-woven silk carpet and a plaque. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci also presented Odlar Yurdu University with the university’s plaque. After the exchange of gifts, the ceremony ended with commemorative photos being taken.

The signed protocol is considered a strategic step that will not only make the two universities more visible in international academic networks, but will also shape scientific and cultural partnerships not only for today but for the future. Signed with the aim of opening up to the Turkic world and strengthening ties with sister nations that share a cultural heritage, this agreement is KAÜ’s second cooperation protocol in Azerbaijan.
