24 November Teachers’ Day Message from AUC Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca

Cyprus American University (AUC) Faculty of Education Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca celebrated the day of all educators in a message he published on November 24, Teachers’ Day, emphasizing that teachers are the strongest and most indispensable element in the development of societies.

Assoc. Prof. Karaca stated that education is the most fundamental dynamic that enables a country’s progress, noting the following:

“Education is the most effective way for societies to modernize and confidently build their future. At the heart of this sacred duty are our valuable teachers, who work selflessly, guide with knowledge, and illuminate the path for new generations. Thanks to their dedication, patience, and hard work, the leaders, scientists, and artists of the future are being nurtured.”

In his message, Karaca drew attention to the importance that the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk attached to teachers, reminding them that November 24, the day Atatürk accepted the title of Head Teacher of the People’s Schools, holds historical significance for teachers.

“Atatürk’s words, ‘Teachers! The new generation will be your creation,’ reveal the magnitude and sanctity of the responsibility undertaken by the education community in the most meaningful way. November 24 is not just a day of celebration for all teachers who are devoted to this noble profession; it is also a special day when the honorable duty they carry is remembered once again.”

AUC Faculty of Education Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca concluded his message by expressing his respect and gratitude to all education workers:

I extend my warmest wishes to all our teachers, who shape our future and illuminate the paths to knowledge, on November 24, Teachers’ Day. I remember with respect and gratitude our great teacher, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, and all teachers who have dedicated their lives to the world of education. I wish health, happiness, and success to all teachers who carry out their duties with great dedication, patience, and love.”
