AUC is Ready for the Nicosia Marathon

Cyprus American University (KAÜ) is preparing to participate in the Coffee World Nicosia Marathon organized by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality to support sports and social solidarity.
The proceeds from this year’s “Coffee World Nicosia Marathon” will be used to support the construction of a sports complex for children with special needs at the Engelsiz Yaşam Evi (Disability-Free Living Home). Faculty and students from the American University of Cyprus (AUC) also participated in the event by purchasing race numbers to show their support.
Cyprus American University Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci said the following in his statement regarding the event:
As the Cyprus American University family, we continue to support the marathons and sports events organized by the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia this year, as we do every year. We believe that such events increase both social solidarity and awareness.
The marathon will start on Sunday in front of the Turkish Municipality of Nicosia and will be held in the 21 km, 10 km, 4 km, and children’s run categories.
