Cooperation Protocol Between AUC and Uzbekistan

The American University of Cyprus continues to achieve new successes by continuing academic and cultural studies in the international arena. A cooperation protocol was signed between the American University of Cyprus (AUC) and Uzbekistan Oriental University in order to encourage joint studies and increase the quality of education.
The protocol envisages joint scientific research and academic publications, student and academic exchange programs, congresses, symposiums, conferences and joint cooperation programs to be carried out by both institutions.
AUC Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci and Rector of Oriental University of Uzbekistan Prof. Dr. Nozim Mamatakhunov signed the protocol and AUC Secretary General Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alp Karaca and AUC Foreign Relations Representative Dr. Emel Yılmaz were present at the protocol ceremony.
AUC Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci noted that thanks to the protocol signed between AUC and the Oriental University of Uzbekistan, which is among the well-established universities of Uzbekistan, they have achieved an important achievement that reveals the international vision. Emphasizing that an important cooperation protocol was signed between Oriental University of Uzbekistan and AUC, Keçeci emphasized that the two institutions, which aim to join forces in the field of education, will carry out joint seminars and training activities within the scope of the protocol. “Thanks to our cooperation, we aim to contribute to the academic development of both universities by providing various opportunities for students and academic staff,” Keçeci said.
Prof. Dr. Nozim Mamatakhunov, Rector of Oriental University of Uzbekistan, stated that the protocol signed between the two universities constitutes an important basis for the future academic relations of the universities and noted that they believe that this cooperation between KAU and Oriental University will increase the quality of education and give students a broader perspective.
