Book Donation from Neşe Ergüçlü to AUC

Neşe Ergüçlü, wife of the late Journalist-Writer Süleyman Ergüçlü, one of the doyen names of the Turkish Cypriot Press History, presented her husband’s English book “Annan Plan Intervıews” (Annan Plan Interviews) published in 2023 to KAU Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci and KAU Administrative Coordinator and Visual Communication Design Department Faculty Member Dr. Emel Yılmaz.

KAU Rector Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci emphasized the importance of the fact that the English translation of the book “Annan Plan Interviews” by Süleyman Ergüçlü, the doyen name of the Turkish Cypriot press and the Editor-in-Chief of the Cyprus Media Group at the time, which includes interviews conducted during the Annan Plan period, will be used as a source by entering the archive.

Prof. Dr. Emel Yılmaz underlined that she was honored to be remembered and presented a book by her husband as a former student who received education from a veteran journalist like Süleyman Ergüçlü and emphasized that the book constitutes an important source in the context of Cyprus Press History. Neşe Ergüçlü emphasized that she undertook the publication and distribution of the book, which she prepared in English in order to keep his memory alive after the death of her husband, and noted that they presented the book with the aim of using it as a source to contribute to university students.
