AUC Department of Ornamental Plants visited Kalkanlı Yaşam Evi

Ornamental Plant Breeding Associate Degree Program Students held a tree planting event in the garden of Kalkanlı Yaşam Evi. The students planted the plants, including the fruit trees they grew themselves, in the garden with labor and devotion.

An irrigation system was also installed by the students to ensure the maintenance of the trees. Lecturer Esra Köksaldı;

“As the students and lecturers of the department, we are always ready to take part and contribute to such social responsibility projects. However, the important thing is that the protection and maintenance of the application is provided by the relevant people. We hope that the necessary maintenance is provided and the people living here can sit in the shade of the trees and eat their fruits.”
