Culinary Education is Strengthening in Northern Cyprus
TAFED Chairman, famous Chef Zeki Açıköz was hosted due to the cooperation protocol signed between the Turkish Chefs Federation (TAFED) and the American University of Cyprus (KAU). The signatures of the protocol between TAFED and KAU were signed by TAFED Chairman Chief Zeki Açıköz and KAU Rector Prof. Dr. Scored by Gökçe Keçeci. KAU Vice Rector Prof. attended the meeting. Dr. Tutku Akter Gökaşan, Vocational School (Vocational School) Director Lecturer. See. Merve Akgül, Vocational School Cookery Department Lecturer. See. TAFED Chairman Chief Zeki Açıköz expressed his satisfaction with the signed protocol,
“As the TAFED family and myself, we will always support the future chef candidates trained by the American University of Cyprus.” said.
Chairman Chef Zeki Açıköz underlined that with the signed protocol, the aim is to carry out joint studies in the field of gastronomy, to build a bridge between gastronomy culture and to develop and strengthen academic collaborations.

In his speech to the students, TAFED Chairman Chief Zeki Açıköz talked about many memories he had in his professional life.
“As future chef candidates, the most important thing you need to know is to work with determination, tirelessly and tirelessly. “If you work with determination, you can achieve anything.” said.

At the meeting, KAU Academician Assist. who is studying in the field of Gastronomy and Tourism and is a member of TAFED. Associate Professor. İhsan Erol Özçil also emphasized that the signed protocol paved the way for both institutions to carry out joint studies on different food cultures.
The meeting ended with the presentation of a plaque to TAFED Chairman, the famous Chef Zeki Açıköz, and the ceramic work made by KAU Plastic Arts Department, and then a dinner where special tastes of Cyprus were served.
